Thanks! Didn't know that. Why the devil doesn't Apple publish a manual?!?!? How are we supposed to know that these types of features exist?!?!?

Your iPhone's virtual keyboard is a helpful little fella: It appears when you need it and disappears when you don't; it suggests and corrects words as you type them; and it even adds punctuation on your behalf.
One thing it doesn't do very well, however, is help you type a string of capital letters.
This operation requires you to tap the Shift key before pressing every single letter in the word you want to capitalise. Which can be a real pain when you want to enter acronyms and abbreviations like NASA, SNAFU and USA. Or, if you just like SHOUTING at people!
What you might not know, however, is that the iPhone, does in fact, have a hidden Caps Lock feature. You just need to enable it. Here's how...
On the Home screen, tap Settings...General (near the bottom of the screen)...Keyboard...and then activate Caps Lock by swiping the Enable Caps Lock slider to its On position.
From then on, you'll be able to type a string of capitals whenever you want.
So the next time you're writing an email, note or SMS text message and feel like shouting, simply double-tap the Shift key on the left-hand side of the keypad and you'll see that it turns blue in response. This means that you're in Caps Lock mode, and can type a seamless stream of uppercase letters.
When you're ready to return to lowercase again, tap the Shift key once to turn Caps Lock off.
Note: The Shift key can be a temperamental S.O.B., so if you find yourself struggling to turn Caps Lock on, try double-tapping it faster. That should do the trick.
