Something for the weekend?

Did you catch us on the BBC's Something for the Weekend show? Tim Lovejoy looked suitably impressed as Gadget guru Ella Williamson donned a pair of Touchy to demonstrate a touchscreen-equipped media player and pointed out how they keep your hands warm and dry while sending text messages on your mobile phone!
The word on the street
People are saying great things about our gloves! Here's some of the press, reviews and customer feedback we've received so far:
-
The gift for the geek that's got everything
-
Post-punk cool and totally functional
Making gift lists for the upcoming holidays? Every teenager and college kid you know is now covered. Etre Touchy gloves are perfect.

Etre Touchy gloves give gadgets the finger
The gray and turquoise gloves are actually pretty cute. And they present a nice solution for operating mobile phones, portable games systems, music players, and other electronic devices in cold weather.

A Christmas gift to warm iPod owners everywhere
Whether it's the anticipation of the winter months ahead, or just the latest in a long line of ideas designed to tap into the tech-junkie driven 'Pod Pound', we actually like these gloves.
And it's not for their technological wizardry, electrostatic fingertips or silicone grips - indeed they have none of these - it's purely for their simplicity. They're gloves. They've got the tops of the thumbs and forefingers missing so you can use your iPod. Job done.
It's all very well buying a pair of mitts that make you look like a golf pro on the Starship Enterprise, but you're going to look like a plonker when you arrive at the pub and slap them down next to your pint (maybe go for a Babycham instead, eh?).

Touch of genius!
Etre Touchy gloves were originally designed so that you could operate your iPod and other hand-held devices, but they will be just as useful for fishing.
The gloves have a missing tip to the thumb and index finger so you can still tie hooks and knots easily. They are made from an acrylic material and offer great protection from the cold.

These are going to be big, folks
I was lucky enough to try out a sample pair, and these are going to be big, folks - they fill a need no one else has even (excuse the pun) touched on yet.

Great winter gadget wear
Etre Touchy gloves are great winter gadget wear for your iPhone or for any gadget, for that matter.
These winter gloves are designed so that the thumb and the index fingertips are exposed and actually remind [me] of the leather gloves with studs that I used to wear in high school, during my teen years as a wanna-be-drummer.
This gadget design actually works really well because it keeps your hands warm while still adding functionality to the opposable thumb and index finger.

A new 'patch' for the iPhone
Because they lack a thumb and index finger, the Etretouchy gloves let you - finally! - use the iPhone while wearing gloves. Imagine that: both warm hands and that warm fuzzy feeling of interacting with your iPhone.

A welcome stocking filler this year

The perfect stocking stuffer
So offbeat and insane they prove that necessity is indeed truly the mother of all inventions...If you've ever tried to use a mobile device with gloves on, you know how difficult it can be, even on a standard device. So, this new spin on a classic fall and winter accessory might be the perfect stocking stuffer this year.
